Job summary

Community Healthcare of Texas is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator in Waco, TX to recruit, train, place, and supervise volunteers, supporting agency needs and accreditation. The role also aids development and fundraising through volunteer coordination and community engagement.

The candidate will educate staff on volunteer roles, organize recognition events, and ensure compliance with agency policies. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 2+ years in recruiting and training is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience recruiting, training, and leading people, required.
• Experience presenting educational material to small and large groups, preferred.
• Knowledge of local volunteer recruiting/sourcing opportunities, preferred.
• Experience in a hospice agency preferred.
• Proficiency with computers; Microsoft Office Suite experience required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train volunteers to meet agency needs.
• Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate volunteers.
• Maintain volunteer records (paper and electronic).
• Organize volunteer recognition and appreciation events annually.
• Educate clinical staff on volunteer roles and referrals.
• Collaborate with Development for fundraising events and community engagement.
• Assist with bereavement services coordination.
