Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice provides compassionate, client-centered end-of-life care for pets in their homes. Vets will travel to Hartford, Glastonbury, Farmington, Avon and Simsbury, CT, delivering hospice and in-home euthanasia with time to listen and support families.

We offer flexible schedules (2–5 days/week), generous salary with quarterly bonuses, and strong mentorship. The team prioritizes well-being and a no non-compete policy while maintaining top-notch care for families.

Qualifications

• Must hold Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) and be licensed to practice in the U.S.
• Excellent bedside manner and ability to support grieving clients with empathy.
• Willingness to practice on the road with in-home visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets.
• Practice independently on the road with support from a mentorship team.
• Maintain high standards of care, documentation, and client communication.
• Participate in a flexible schedule with 2–5 days per week and self-managed options.
