Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience; geriatrics preferred.
• New nurses welcome; comprehensive training provided.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Excellent bedside manner and communications skills.
• Knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Initiates preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Implements the plan of care and revises as patient status changes.
• Responds to after-hours calls (weekends 8:30 AM–8:00 PM).
• Assesses patients’ needs via triage and in-home care.
• Collaborates with physicians, NPs, and the inter-disciplinary team.

Job Description:

• Role: Registered Nurse - Hospice (Monday to Friday Nights On-Call)


• Rate: Base Compensation ($1000 per week) + Paid per visit ($50) and per admission ($100)


• Service Area: Concord, MA and Surrounding areas


• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 pm - 8:30 am


• Job Type: Part-time

Qualifications:

• 2+ years' nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics is desirable.


• New nurses, feel free to apply! We have a great training program.


• Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.


• Proficient with electronic medical records.


• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.


• Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.


• Maintain current BLS CPR certification.


• Possess a valid driver's license and own a reliable, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.


• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.


• Initiates the plan of care and makes necessary revisions as patient status and needs change.


• Responds promptly to incoming calls during afterhours. (Weekends 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM)


• Assess patient’s needs through triaging and providing in-home care when needed.


• Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary team to contribute a strong Plan of Care for each patient.


• Responds to inquiries and concerns from patients, their caregivers, and their medical team.


• Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.
