Job summary

Pathways Healthcare in Concord, MA, is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Hospice, Monday to Friday nights on-call. Base compensation is $1000 per week, plus $50 per visit and $100 per admission. Schedule is 8:00 pm–8:30 am, serving Concord and surrounding areas.

New nurses welcome with a strong training program. Requires nursing degree, ERM proficiency, BLS, and a valid driver’s license for home visits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics is desirable.
• New nurses, feel free to apply! Training program available.
• Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
• Maintain current BLS CPR certification.
• Possess a valid driver's license and own a reliable, insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Initiates preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises it as patient status changes.
• Responds promptly to after-hours calls (weekends 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM).
• Assess patient needs through triaging and in-home care.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary team on the Plan of Care.
• Responds to inquiries from patients, caregivers, and medical team.
• Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.

Job Description:

• Responds to inquiries and concerns from patients, their caregivers, and their medical team.


• Consults patients and caregivers before, during and after treatment.
