Job summary

Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice is seeking a Weekend RN to provide end-of-life care in patients' homes in the Northbrook, IL area. The role includes a $9,000 first-year bonus and a Friday–Sunday night schedule from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license in the state and have at least two years of RN experience, with hospice experience preferred. A valid driver’s license and ~20% travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered hospice care in patients' homes
• Respond to urgent needs, manage symptoms and pain, provide end-of-life support
• Support families during weekends and crises, keep them informed and reassured
• Use clinical judgment to coordinate care and maintain EMR documentation
• Work independently while remaining connected to a team
• Travel to patient homes within the assigned territory

We are hiring a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospice position providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes in the Northbrook, IL. area. This position is eligible for a $9,000 first year success bonus to reward the accomplishment of key milestones during your first year! Schedule for this position would be every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 PM to 8:00AM.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Respond to patient needs by performing urgent assessments, managing symptoms and pain, and providing compassionate end-of-life support in real time
• Support and guide patients and families during weekends, and crisis situations, ensuring they feel informed, reassured, and cared for throughout the hospice journey
• Apply strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to coordinate care needs, respond to changing patient conditions, and maintain accurate, timely, and compliant EMR documentation
• Work independently, but never alone
• Travel to patient homes within assigned territory

Weekend RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse, RN license in the state you work
• Two years of RN experience and the clinical expertise to deliver quality patient care, Hospice experience preferred
• Due to the field-based nature of this home health position, a valid driver’s license and the ability to spend approximately 20% of your workday driving to and from patient locations are required
