Job summary

Atlantic Health's Hospice Visiting Nurse program in Morristown, NJ is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse for full-time daytime coverage. You will perform patient assessments, develop and adjust the plan of care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality end-of-life care.

Responsibilities include medication management, admission assessments within 24 hours, and education for patients and families, with emphasis on safety and compliance with hospice regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: BSN; ASN to BSN progression encouraged.
• 1+ year nursing or hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of hospice services.
• Coordinate with IDT and participate in meetings every 2 weeks.
• Reconcile medications and review orders.
• Provide patient/family education using age-appropriate methods.
• Maintain visit productivity standards and documentation.
