Miracle City Hospice in Broadview Heights, OH is seeking an experienced RN Admissions Nurse to support patients and families at the start of their hospice journey. You will assess eligibility, educate about services, and guide the admission process with clinical expertise and compassion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice (Ohio).
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-admission evaluations to determine eligibility for hospice services.
• Educate patients and families about hospice care and available services.
• Facilitate the admission process and obtain informed consent.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Develop initial plans of care tailored to patient and family needs.
• Providing interventions that enhance comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

As an RN Admissions Nurse, you'll play a vital role in helping patients access hospice services while providing education, support, and clinical expertise during the transition to end-of-life care. Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Monday through Friday, offering added flexibility and work-life balance.

What You'll Do

As an RN Admissions Nurse, you'll help ensure patients and families receive the information, guidance, and care they need from the very beginning of their hospice journey.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting pre-admission evaluations to determine eligibility and appropriateness for hospice services
• Educating patients and families about hospice care and available services
• Facilitating the admission process and obtaining informed consent
• Completing comprehensive nursing assessments
• Developing initial plans of care tailored to patient and family needs
• Providing interventions that enhance comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Serving as a trusted resource and advocate for patients and their families

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Hospice experience preferred (1+ year), but not required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize patient needs
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Knowledge of quality assurance and performance improvement practices
