Job summary

Miracle City Hospice in Broadview Heights and surrounding counties is hiring an RN Admissions Nurse to support patients and families on the end-of-life journey. You will conduct pre-admission evaluations, educate families about services, obtain informed consent, and begin the admission process.

The role offers a compassionate team, a 4x10 schedule (9 am–7 pm, Monday–Friday), and comprehensive benefits including PTO, 401(k) match, and competitive salaries.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
• Must possess current CPR Certification.
• 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to deal with patients, families, visitors, agency personnel and the public.
• Knowledge of quality assessment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
• Initiates the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.
• Obtains informed consent
• Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.
