Overview

We have an exciting and rewarding opening for a RN Administrator to join our team in North Chesterfield VA! Join us and find new ways to use your gift for leading others while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those in your care.

To qualify for this position, you MUST be a Registered Nurse (RN), have a minimum of 2 years of hospice or home health management experience, and reside within a commutable distance to North Chesterfield VA.

As an Administrator, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location, overseeing patient admissions, ancillary services, supervision and evaluation of staff and volunteers, and maintaining communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through focusing on quality care and service.
2. Incorporates continuous quality improvement principles in daily activities.
3. Promotes and monitors compliance with standards by accrediting, licensing, and regulatory agencies.
4. Recommends and implements policies and procedures.
5. Manages Human Resources effectively, promoting positive communication, providing training and education, and supervising team members.
6. Manages office operations, ensuring documentation accuracy, supervising patient care quality, and participating in on-call schedules if applicable.
7. Manages financial resources, reviews budgets, and monitors expenses.

About You

• Education:

• Registered Nurse with minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Master’s degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred.

• Experience:

• Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required.
• Two or more years’ experience in hospice/home care required.
• Three years’ experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Healthcare sales/management experience preferred.
• Experience as Clinical Director, Hospice Director, Director of Nursing, RN Administrator, or similar roles preferred.

• Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:

• Current nursing license in the state of employment.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

• Equipment/Tools/Work-Aids: Ability to operate computers, fax, copier, and cell phone; transportation required.

Potential titles include RN Branch Director, RN Branch Manager, Hospice Branch Director, Executive Director, RN Executive Director, RN Administrator, Hospice Administrator, among others.
