We are looking to bring on a Hospice Administrator to guide clinical services and operations. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a robust hospice background who is committed to providing top-notch and compassionate care to our clients within the familiarity of their homes. The Hospice Administrator will play a crucial role in coordinating and supervising staff, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, and upholding compliance with regulatory standards. A brief overview of Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership, Management, and Operations:
    • Provide strong leadership and foster a positive work environment for the home health agency.
    • Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, client care coordination, and administrative functions.
  2. Staff Supervision, Recruitment, and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, home health aides, and administrative staff.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development opportunities.
  3. Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Client Care:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and clients to develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring adherence to standards.
  4. Budget Management and Financial Sustainability:
    • Develop and manage the home health agency budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation for financial sustainability.
  5. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Foster effective communication among staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare facilities, and community organizations to enhance the continuum of care.

Qualifications for Hospice Administrator:

  • A healthcare professional with a minimum of two (2) years of health-related experience, knowledge and the ability to effectively administer the Hospice Service which shall include at least one year, within the last five years, of supervisory/administrative experience in hospice care or a related health care delivery system.
