Qualifications

Executive Director Responsibilities:

As an Executive Director, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location, overseeing patient admissions, ancillary services, personnel supervision, and communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through quality care and service.
  2. Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles into daily activities.
  3. Ensure compliance with standards set by accrediting, licensing, regulatory agencies, and laws.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  5. Manage Human Resources effectively, including staff communication, orientation, training, supervision, and workload distribution.
  6. Manage office operations, including planning, documentation, quality monitoring, and emergency response.
  7. Coordinate with physicians, patients, families, and staff to address concerns.
  8. Supervise and evaluate patient and family satisfaction surveys.
  9. Manage financial resources, including budgeting, monitoring expenses, and financial reviews.
About You
  • Education: Registered Nurse with minimum Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year management/supervisory experience; two or more years in hospice/home care; clinical and healthcare management experience preferred.
  • Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration: Active nursing license, CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Equipment/Tools/Work-Aids: Ability to operate computers, fax, copier, and cell phone; reliable transportation required.

Potential titles include RN Branch Director, RN Administrator, Hospice Director, and similar roles.
