Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Registered Nurse - Hospice to provide compassionate end-of-life care across travel assignments in Columbia, MD and surrounding areas. You will assess, plan, and deliver patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR if applicable, health certificate, and compliance with federal, state and local requirements. Travel may be involved; candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients in hospice settings.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment, critical thinking and performance ability in patient care management.
• Maintain nursing standards and accountability in managing patient care.

Job description

The Registered Nurse - Hospice is responsible for providingcare, comfort and support to terminally ill patients. The Registered Nurse - Hospice assumes theresponsibility and accountability for the delivery of hospice patient care invarious settings. The Registered Nursedemonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective andefficient manner with supervision. TheRegistered Nurse will also demonstrate critical thinking and performanceability in the coordination of patient care.Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountablein managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patientcare.
