Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Registered Nurse - Hospice to provide care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients across healthcare facilities. The RN will perform nursing duties, make clinical judgments, and coordinate patient care while adhering to nursing standards.

This contract position is part-time and involves working in multiple locations within Illinois, with opportunities to travel between Harvey, Chicago and Quincy.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients in various settings.
• Make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision and coordinate patient care.
• Maintain nursing standards and be accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in patient care management.

The Registered Nurse - Hospice is responsible for providingcare, comfort and support to terminally ill patients. The Registered Nurse - Hospice assumes theresponsibility and accountability for the delivery of hospice patient care invarious settings. The Registered Nursedemonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective andefficient manner with supervision. TheRegistered Nurse will also demonstrate critical thinking and performanceability in the coordination of patient care.Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountablein managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patientcare.
