Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to drive referral growth and educate healthcare partners about hospice services in the Ohio market. You will cultivate strong relationships with hospitals, home health agencies, SNFs, and physician offices to ensure timely and appropriate referrals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and a track record in healthcare sales, with knowledge of hospice or palliative care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in healthcare sales, business development, or referral marketing.
• Strong existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs, or home health professionals.
• Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or home health is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
• Sensitivity to the needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding admissions and census targets.

Responsibilities

• Educate, inform, and inspire confidence in our services, so that patients are referred at the right time.
• Identify new referral opportunities by calling on hospitals, home health agencies, SNFs, assisted living, clinics, and physician offices.
• Engage in conversations with healthcare professionals about patient needs and hospice options.
• Plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to increase awareness and drive referral growth.
• Represent our organization at community events and professional associations.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and families, ensuring understanding of hospice options.
