Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to lead relationships with referral partners and educate healthcare professionals on hospice options. You will drive awareness, identify opportunities, and advocate for timely referrals while collaborating with clinical and operational teams.

The role emphasizes strategic marketing, independent work, and a patient-centered approach across hospitals, SNFs, home health, and clinics. Strong sales and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications.
• Minimum 2 years in healthcare sales or referral marketing.
• Strong existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs or home health pros.
• Prior hospice, palliative care, or home health experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRMs.
• Sensitivity to needs of terminally ill patients and their families.
• Proven track record of meeting admissions and census targets.

Responsibilities

• Educate and inspire confidence in services for proper referrals.
• Identify new referral opportunities across hospitals, SNFs, clinics, and physician offices.
• Engage healthcare professionals in patient needs and hospice options.
• Plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to grow referrals.
• Represent Gentiva at community events and professional associations.
• Serve as a resource for patients and families on hospice options.
