Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ years of healthcare sales or marketing experience.
• Sales or business development experience in hospice or related healthcare preferred.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and community organizations.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, judgment, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with crisis intervention and family support.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and community referral sources.
• Educate referral partners and the community about hospice services and the hospice benefit.
• Manage marketing accounts and develop follow-up and continuing education plans.
• Coordinate and follow up on pending referrals and communicate referral outcomes.
• Meet with patients and families to provide support and assist with hospice enrollment.
• Serve as a patient advocate across the hospice team, program, and community.
• Maintain appropriate documentation in patient charts.
• Participate in staff meetings, interdisciplinary group meetings, training, and in-service education.
• Plan and participate in marketing initiatives, networking events, educational lunches, conferences and community activities to strengthen relationships with case management and healthcare partners while increasing Lorian's visibility in the community
