Job summary

Compassus is seeking an On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse to provide after-hours hospice care for patients and families. You will work to maximize patient comfort, educate caregivers, and partner with families to maintain quality of life.

Required RN license with 2+ years of experience; CPR/BCLS certifications and a valid driver’s license are essential. A flexible schedule will help balance staffing needs and patient care across weekends and weeknights.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of employment.
• Two years of RN experience; hospice experience preferred.
• CPR and BCLS certifications up to date.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours and weekend hospice care as needed.
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families.
• Educate caregivers on care for loved ones.
• Comfort patient and family, support coping after hours.
