Job summary

BAYADA Hospice in Colchester, VT is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) to join the on-call hospice team. Hours are 7 nights on, 7 nights off (Sun-Thu 5pm–8:30am; Fri-Sat 5pm–6am); rate $41-$48/hour based on a 40-hour week. Weekly pay including off weeks.

Prior home care/hospice experience is preferred but not required. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering palliative care to clients at home and contributing to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active VT RN license required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Home care/hospice experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to travel to cases.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Administer medications, wound care, treatments, and comfort care.
• Monitor clients' conditions and report changes to the Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Follow doctors' orders and properly document actions.
• Perform client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call after hours and/or weekends.

BAYADA Hospice is looking for compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join our hospice on call team in the Colchester, VT hospice office.

This office services hospice clients in Chittenden, Grand Isle, Franklin, Lamoille and Washington counties.

• Hours: 7 nights on, 7 nights off: Sunday-Thursday 5pm to 830am, Friday and Saturday is 5pm-6am
• Every other week!
• Rate: $41-$48/hour-based on 40 hours a week
• Weekly pay including your off weeks.

Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required. As a hospice nurse (RN), you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides palliative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Responsibilities for a Hospice RN - Registered Nurse include:

• Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures and comfort care.
• Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders.
• Performing client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on call after hours and/or weekends

Qualifications for a Hospice RN - Registered Nurse include:

• A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in VT.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
