Job summary

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient care on a night shift (7PM–7AM), two nights per week, serving patients across southeastern North Carolina. This nonprofit hospice provider emphasizes compassion, quality care, and team collaboration in a supportive environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active NC license, and at least two years of experience in hospice or home care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN or BSN).
• Current North Carolina nursing license.
• Minimum two years of experience; hospice or home care preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English with patients and families.
• Interpersonal skills for compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities

• Use Nursing Process to assess and plan care for life-limiting illnesses.
• Educate patient and family according to the Plan of Care.
• Document care activities per agency policies and regulations.
• Supervise Hospice Aide and delegate tasks as needed.
• Maintain flexibility to cover weekends/holidays as required.
