Job summary

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare is seeking a Weeknight On Call Registered Nurse in Hampstead, NC. The role covers Monday–Friday nights via a salaried schedule with overtime differentials, serving a broad Onslow/Pender/Duplin area with backup coverage from the FT On Call team.

Responsibilities include triage after-hours calls, limited home visits, and coordination of care for life-limiting illness patients while ensuring compliance with agency policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current license to practice nursing in NC/SC.
• Two years experience; hospice/home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for life-limiting illnesses.
• Utilize Nursing Process to manage Plan of Care with appropriate delegation.
• Document and communicate per policies and regulations.
• Delegate patient care duties to LPNs/NAs under RN supervision.
• Maintain personal and professional development.
