Job summary

Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care in Joliet, IL, seeks an IPU Team Leader to provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for RNs, social workers, CNAs, and chaplains in partnership with the Director of Inpatient Unit.

The role requires a flexible schedule to cover 5 days a week of 8-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. An Illinois RN license and a Bachelor’s degree are required, with hospice experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with current Illinois license.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in public health/home care/hospice nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical and operational aspects for RN, social workers, CNAs and chaplains.
• Direct report for CNA and Clerk staff including payroll, scheduling and evaluations.
• Ensure timely documentation for attendance, competencies and staffing issues.
