Job summary

Gulfside Healthcare Services is seeking a Hospice RN for the IPU on the night shift. You will provide high-quality skilled care to patients with acute needs and lead the IPU team, including LPNs and CNAs, under the supervision of the Clinical Care Manager - IPU.

The ideal candidate is a Florida-licensed RN with strong clinical judgment and a team-oriented approach, capable of coordinating care plans and communicating with the multidisciplinary team. AHCA background screening may apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a registered nurse in Florida.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Strong ethics and professional demeanor.
• Sound critical thinking, time management, and judgment.
• Well-organized and self-directed team player.
• Must have reliable transportation and a Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Case manages the needs of patients in the IPU during their shift.
• Performs ongoing assessments of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs and initiates interventions.
• Oversees supervision of LPNs, CNAs, and other staff on the IPU.
• Takes independent action to identify problems and escalate when needed.
• Supports policies and procedures and participates in staff orientation.
