Job summary

Hospice of the Piedmont, Inc. is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care in the IPU, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team and supporting patients and families in their hospice journey.

Responsibilities include symptom management, patient assessments, documentation, care planning, patient and family education, and supervising CNA services for assigned patients. Typical day involves ~6 patients per nurse and collaboration with on-site medical providers.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher in Nursing required.
• RN license required; CHPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to IPU patients and families.
• Manage symptoms and perform patient assessments.
• Document assessments, interventions, and updates.
• Develop and coordinate plan of care.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Communicate with onsite medical providers.
• Average of 6 patients per nurse.
• Support other staff and team members.
• Train CNA staff.
• Supervise CNA services for assigned patients.
