Job summary

By the Bay Health, a Northern California nonprofit hospice provider, seeks a Senior Director of Business Development to build, lead, and grow a high‑performing team across Napa, Solano, and the Bay Area. You will strengthen referral networks and develop partnerships with hospitals, physicians, post‑acute providers, and community organizations to expand access to compassionate care.

You’ll collaborate with executive, clinical, admissions, and operations leaders to translate market opportunity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or comparable years of direct experience; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, preferably hospice, home health, or post-acute care.
• 2+ years in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive business development strategies to accelerate census and sustainable revenue growth.
• Develop new market, partnership, and geographic expansion opportunities.
• Analyze market trends and referral patterns to inform team standards.
• Coach and develop team members while modeling best-in-class relationship development.
• Serve as a strategic growth partner to executive and regional leadership.
• Develop trusted relationships with hospitals, physicians, SNFs, ALFs, and community partners.
• Lead referral pipeline strategy and convert relationships into admissions growth.
• Partner with clinical, admissions, and operations leaders to create a premier referral and service experience.
