Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a self-driven Community Liaison to join our team serving the Waco area. You will build meaningful, trust-based relationships with referral sources, physicians, and healthcare partners—helping families access compassionate hospice care.

The role focuses on census growth by raising awareness and preference for hospice services, while representing our compassionate team in the community. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in healthcare marketing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; experience may substitute.
• Minimum two years of healthcare sales/marketing experience; hospice/palliative marketing preferred.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with staff, marketing and clinical teams.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
• Clinical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to strengthen collaboration with the medical community.
• Advocate for hospice services through regular outreach reflecting commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
• Grow presence by promoting hospice as the provider of choice across the service area to meet census goals.
• Drive referral growth through visits with physicians, discharge planners, SNFs, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead initial conversations about hospice care and obtain consent with empathy and respect.
