Job summary

GBMC HealthCare’s Gilchrist is seeking an expert nurse educator to serve as a consultant, educator, and expert nursing practitioner. The role supports field-based staff and nursing leaders in resolving complex RN clinical practice issues and guides best practices for hospice and palliative care.

The Educator will lead training, develop educational content, and collaborate with education and operations partners to sustain high quality patient care across elder, seriously ill, and hospice

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience in relevant clinical area.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• CHPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and coaches Nurses and Hospice aides in best practices for patient and family care.
• Leads annual nurse training and documentation skills assessment in collaboration with operations and quality.
• Maintains clinical reference tools and standard works for staff.
• Collaborates with clinical leaders on interpretation of regulations and accreditation standards.
• Precepts nursing students and partners with local programs for end-of-life education.
