Job summary

IHA in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Home Care Hospice Educator to lead education for home care with strong regulatory alignment. You will assess, develop, implement and evaluate education programs, partner with home care managers to orient and develop staff, and coordinate student learning with schools and universities.

This role requires proficiency with Microsoft applications, Epic EHR, and learning management systems, plus the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging instructional

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nursing education program; bachelor’s in nursing preferred.
• Ten years of nursing practice, including five in Hospice education or leadership.
• Preferred CPR Instructor Certification.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications for creation of instructional documents, course curriculums, orientation materials and related visual aids.
• Must possess accurate and clear oral & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate education for home care with regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with home care managers to orient and develop staff and integrate new colleagues.
• Serve as informatics liaison and educate on Epic, EHR, LMS and related technologies.
• Coordinate student learning activities with schools, colleges and universities.
