Job summary

Holy Cross Home Care and Hospice (Maryland) is seeking a Home Care Educator to lead education development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation in our home care programs. You will collaborate with home care managers to orient new staff and ensure competency across teams, while coordinating with schools for student learning activities.

The role emphasizes informatics liaison responsibilities, including Epic/EHR and learning management system training to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nursing education program, bachelor’s in nursing is preferred.
• Certification in OASIS within one year (Home Care only).
• Ten years of nursing practice, including five in Home Care is preferred.
• Preferred CPR Instructor Certification.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications for creation of instructional documents, course curriculums, orientation materials and related visual aides
• Must possess accurate and clear oral & written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, implement and evaluate education for home care in line with local, state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with home care managers to ensure orientation, competency, development and integration of new colleagues and ongoing staff development.
• Coordinate with schools, colleges and universities to arrange student learning activities.
• Serve as the informatics liaison and provide education regarding competence with technologies (Epic, LMS, etc.).
