Job summary

Corewell Health in Stevensville, MI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Hanson Residence - Hospice South team. You will provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following individual care plans and unit routines.

Daily duties include assisting residents with dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility, documenting care, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. You will participate in unit quality activities and safety initiatives as required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course.
Driver's License within the State of Michigan.
Nursing Assistant CRT – Michigan licensing authority upon hire.
CRT-BLS (AHA/ARC) certification required.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse.
Direct day-to-day care of residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
Documents care provided per guidelines.
Maintains patients' environment/work area/equipment and reports malfunctions.
Complete and maintain required CNA educational hours.
Participates in select unit quality monitoring activities under the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
Engages in safety initiatives and completes related competencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
