Job summary

Frederick Health in Mount Airy, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant, Hospice to join our interdisciplinary team under the supervision of an RN. You will assist with personal care, monitor patient status, document observations, and report to the RN/Case Manager to promote comfort and quality of life for hospice patients.

Requirements include Maryland CNA certification, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Understanding of Hospice philosophy and terminally ill care.
• Ability to work with little supervision and remain calm under pressure.
• Maintain competency in basic CNA skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and support according to a written plan of care.
• Maintains patient privacy during bathing, mouth care, and skin care.
• Maintains neatness of the work area and uses proper infection control.
• Observes patient status and reports changes to RN/Case Manager.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner per protocol.
