Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Nursing Aide to assist with personal care tasks for hospice patients and to support families in performing basic health-care routines with dignity and respect.

You will collaborate with supervising RNs to monitor patient progression and communicate needs. A home health or hospice background and a nurse aide certification ensure you meet state requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility) or one year in home health or hospice in the last five years.
• Must be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
• Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing hospice patients and helping with hygienic routines such as brushing teeth and washing hair.
• Assist patients' family members by instructing them on how to perform basic health-care routines and care for their terminally ill relatives.
• Consult with supervising registered nurses to keep hospice team members informed of patient progression and families' needs.
