Job summary

Bristol Hospice is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a home setting around Merrillville, IN. You will perform personal care tasks, monitor safety, and support families in following the plan of care.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, meals, and vital signs, while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct. Position is full-time, day shift with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Preferably 1 year of community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle and good working order.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks after patient assignment and notify Case Manager if unable to perform a task.
• Provide patient and family with respectful communication and maintain confidentiality.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, denture care, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with dressing, meal planning, and feeding as assigned.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to Case Manager.
