Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Indiana location in New Albany. This full-time hourly role offers daytime to evening shifts, with a schedule of Monday through Friday 12pm–9pm and a meaningful impact in hospice care.

You’ll provide compassionate daily care, support patients and families, and collaborate with Case Managers to ensure comfort and adherence to the care plan. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Certification of Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide required per state regulations.
• Preferred: one year of hospice or medical/surgical experience.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training completed.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle as per organization/state requirements.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check prior to hire and annually thereafter.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Spend quality one-on-one time with patients and families to support everyday needs.
• Care for hospice patients with routines such as back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
• Provide bedtime care including personal hygiene regimens as required.
• Provide aroma therapy and gentle touch.
• Record important health information including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assess and report patient condition changes to the Case Manager.
• Assist patients with ambulation and exercise as needed.
• Maintain patient living area clean and orderly and adhere to care procedures.
