Job summary

UnitedHealth Group (Amedisys, part of the Optum family) seeks a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care in patients’ homes, supporting families and ensuring dignity and comfort per the care plan.

You will work with the hospice team, document changes, assist with daily living activities, and follow care instructions to ensure quality end-of-life care. A sign-on bonus is offered for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current state CNA certification/registration as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care instructions from the registered nurse.
