Job summary

Amedisys hospice aide position offering full-time daytime hours with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Competitive pay of $19–$22 per hour and a CNA license is required. Home health experience is preferred. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA certification/license.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to personal care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient status, reporting to the primary nurse as needed.
• Follows written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse prior to service delivery.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
