Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide with a valid CNA license to provide compassionate personal care to patients at home. Prior home health or hospice experience is preferred. The role offers full-time daytime hours with pay ranging from $21 to $23 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, meal preparation, and basic clinical tasks under RN guidance, with comprehensive benefits and support from one of the country’s leading home health providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental duties as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status.
• Follows written instructions from the RN in plan of care.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises.
• Performs simple urine tests as instructed.
• Other duties as assigned.
