Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a hospice aide in Pennsylvania to provide personal care in patients' homes. The role requires a PA CNA license, CPR certification, and recent CNA experience. Expect full-time daytime hours with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM and positioning, and household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status; report to primary nurse if unable to perform a task.
• Follows written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse.
