Amedisys is seeking a hospice aide to join our team, providing essential personal care to patients at home. Full-time daytime hours with home health/hospice experience preferred within the last 12 months.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to perform personal care tasks (ambulation, transferring, ROM, positioning) and household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status; report to the primary nurse if unable to perform a task.
• Follows written instructions for personal care from a registered nurse in accordance with the care plan.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.

Conocimientos

CNA experience

CPR certification
