Job summary

A Plus Hire Right Search Group in Miami, FL seeks an experienced Director of Clinical Operations (RN) to provide strategic clinical oversight across multiple hospice locations. This executive role ensures compassionate patient care, regulatory compliance, and ongoing quality improvement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in hospice leadership, strong knowledge of Medicare/participation and accreditation standards, and a proven ability to mentor clinical teams while driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• 5+ years hospice nursing experience.
• Leadership experience within hospice clinical operations.
• Knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation and accreditation standards.
• QAPI principles and quality management knowledge.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of clinical operations across multiple hospice locations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
• Monitor clinical performance, documentation quality, patient outcomes, and medical record accuracy.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the QCC and QAPI Chairperson on improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Executive Directors and Directors of Patient Care Services to strengthen clinical operations.
• Assist leadership teams in achieving regional and organizational goals.
• Identify operational challenges proactively and develop corrective action plans.
• Provide education and mentorship on documentation standards, regulatory compliance, EMR utilization, and hospice best practices.
• Support survey readiness and ensure agencies are prepared for state and accreditation surveys.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Promote evidence-based clinical practices that enhance patient outcomes and family satisfaction.
• Travel throughout the assigned region to provide leadership support.
