Vitality Hospice & Palliative Care seeks an experienced Director of Clinical Operations (RN) to lead our growing clinical team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional hospice care, mentoring clinicians, and ensuring operational excellence in a clinician-owned organization.

The position offers leadership over the interdisciplinary team, collaboration with the Clinical Team Coordinator, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of all direct and indirect patient care services delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with Clinical Team Coordinator to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
• Lead interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, facilitation of care plan discussions.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical team members.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, Medicare, accreditation, and agency standards.
• Partner with Compliance to identify educational needs and implement staff training.
• Conduct regular visits to contracted facilities to maintain relationships and provide education.
• Monitor operational expenses including payroll, supply costs, mileage reimbursement, and budget-related expenditures.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and promote a culture of clinical excellence.
