Job summary

Compassus seeks a Chaplain/Bereavement Coordinator to provide spiritual support to patients and families within a hospice setting in Georgia. You will participate in the IDT, deliver bereavement services, and promote Compassus values while coordinating with clergy and community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Divinity, Social Sciences, or related field preferred; state regulation may apply.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in spiritual/pastoral support to individuals or families.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in grief, loss and/or bereavement support.

Responsibilities

• Explain hospice services and Medicare benefits to patients and families.
• Submit appropriate documentation to facilities after patient visits; timely according to policy.
• Partic ipates as a member of the IDT, including development and implementation of the plan of care.
• Provide spiritual care support to the patient and family; support involvement of community clergy as requested.
• Develop and deliver a program of bereavement support and counseling available to patients and bereaved families for at least one year after death.
• Promote Compassus values and collaborate with clergy and IDT to ensure quality care.
