Job summary

Advanced Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Hospice Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster compassionate end-of-life care. You will lead nursing and clinical staff, develop policies, and collaborate with medical directors to optimize patient care plans.

Responsibility includes clinical audits, staff education, and serving as liaison with regulators, families, and external partners while maintaining documentation accuracy and high-quality

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of work
• Leadership experience in healthcare
• Experience supervising clinical staff in hospice or palliative care
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice standards
• Proficient in EMR systems (MatrixCare) and documentation practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to mentor and develop nursing staff

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hospice operations and ensure high-quality patient care
• Mentor nursing and clinical staff with guidance and support
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures
• Collaborate with medical directors and health care teams on patient care plans
• Conduct clinical audits to ensure quality standards
• Provide ongoing education and training for clinical staff
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, providers, and families
• Address patient and family concerns and ensure resolution
• Stay current with home health care regulations and trends
• Work with Administrator to maintain efficient agency operations
• Ensure accurate documentation of care and reporting for insurance purposes
• Provide clinical supervision and performance feedback to staff
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff
• Educate employees on job expectations and regulatory requirements
• Set schedules and ensure proper coverage
• Maintain professionalism and safety protocols
