Job summary

Best Home Health Providers, Inc. seeks a Clinical Director/Director of Patient Care Services to guide hospice clinical services, set goals, and uphold quality care across the organization.

You will direct coordinators and supervisors, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote referrals within the health care community. Strong leadership in nursing and hospice care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel.
• Provides guidance to coordinators and Clinical Supervisors to continually improve hospice care services.
• Assists Clinical Supervisors in managing clinical teams and planning.
• Aids in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care.
• Assists Executive Director in budget preparation and administration.
• Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and staffing/revenue impact.
• Evaluates performance of Clinical/Nursing Supervisors.
• Helps develop clinicians' skills and evaluation techniques.
• Hires, evaluates, and terminates organization personnel.
• Conducts annual evaluations on clinicians, or more frequent if indicated.
• Oversees maintenance of patient clinical records, statistics, and reports for evaluation and reporting.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of personnel.
• Maintains inventory supplies and equipment for patient services.
• Develops and implements orientation programs for new personnel.
• Plans and implements inservice and continuing education programs for personnel.
• Assists with evaluating organization performance via performance improvement, productivity, and reviews; ensures quality and safe hospice services.
• Assists in developing organization goals and administering policies/procedures.
• Ensures compliance with ACHC Home Care standards.
• Stays informed about changes in nursing and hospice care; shares information with staff.
• Promotes hospice referrals in the health care community.
• In absence of the Executive Director, acts as acting Executive Director with authority to act on behalf of ED.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
