Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of work.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospice or palliative care.
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice standards.
• Excellent communication and interprofessional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hospice operations to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Mentor nursing and clinical staff, providing guidance in patient care practices.
• Develop and evaluate clinical policies to improve care quality.
• Collaborate with medical directors and nursing staff on patient care plans.
• Conduct clinical audits to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Provide ongoing education and training for clinical staff on policies and care techniques.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, healthcare providers, and families.
• Address patient and family concerns with effective communication and resolution.
• Ensure accurate documentation of care, medications, and times for insurance.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and retention of nursing staff.
• Adhere to safety and infection control procedures.
