Job summary

Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide personal care to terminally ill hospice patients under the direction of the RN. You will assist families and be part of the hospice team to ensure comfort and dignity.

In this role you will follow the IDG care plan, respond compassionately to bereavement needs, and support patients in their homes with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

• Must meet federal Home Health Aide training and competency requirements.
• Be able to work independently and make quick judgments.
• Able to respond to crisis outside of a hospital setting.
• Experience preferred: 2 years as a nursing assistant with current patient contact preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to terminally ill hospice patients under the direction of the RN.
• Assist families and provide bereavement support as needed.
• Work as a hospice team member following the IDG care plan.
