St. Joseph Hospice is hiring a Full-Time Hospice Aide CNA in Alexandria, LA. The role supports patients with personal care and daily tasks while collaborating with the care team to meet patient needs.

Qualifying candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, complete a certification program or pass a skills test, possess CPR, and have reliable transportation with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• High School diploma or GED
• Successful completion of a formal certification training program or a written skills test and competency evaluation
• Minimum of six months’ work experience in a direct care setting
• Current CPR certification required
• Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with personal care and homemaking assistance in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team
• Communicate and follow up with supervisors and coworkers regarding patient needs, care and concerns
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and facility staff
