Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Thibodaux, LA is hiring a Hospice Aide to assist with personal care and homemaking tasks under state regulations. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being in a compassionate setting.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, CPR certification, and at least six months of direct care experience; transportation and a valid license are required. Part-time role with ESOP, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Job Duties

• Provide personal care and assistance with homemaking tasks in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Communicate and follow up with supervisor and co-workers regarding patient needs, care, or concerns
• Promote positive relationships with patients, families, and facility staff

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Completed High School or earned Equivalency Diploma
• Successful completion of a formal certification training program or a written skills test and competency evaluation
• Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience in a direct care setting
• CPR Certified
• Have dependable transportation, current driver’s license and auto insurance
