Job summary

All Saints Hospice in Alexandria, LA is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to join our team. You will provide dignified, one-on-one care to patients in a supportive, fulfilling environment where empathy shines. Schedule is Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m. Responsibilities include personal care, monitoring patient condition, assisting mobility, medication help as allowed by state regulations, documentation, and collaborating with the hospice team.

Qualifications

• State CNA training requirements must be met.
• Minimum six months caregiving experience including personal care.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Complete at least 75 hours of training with 16 hours supervised practical training.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, repositioning.
• Monitor & Report: observe changes in patient condition.
• Mobility: assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM and safe equipment use.
• Medication Assistance: help with self-administered medications per state regulations.
• Emotional Support: provide companionship and comfort to patients and families.
• Light Housekeeping: change linens, assist with meals, maintain a clean space.
• Documentation: maintain accurate and timely records.
• Team Participation: collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.

• Possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
