Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Thibodaux, LA is hiring a Hospice Aide to provide personal care and assist with homemaking tasks as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibility includes communication with supervisors and staff to address patient needs and concerns, with emphasis on compassionate patient relations. The role requires a minimum age of 18, a high school diploma or GED, completion of a certification/training program, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years old
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• Formal certification training program or competency evaluation
• Minimum of six months’ work experience in a direct care setting
• CPR Certification
• Dependable transportation with valid driver’s license and auto insurance
