Job summary

Caretenders Hospice, a part of LHC Group, a leading post-acute care partner for hospitals, physicians and families nationwide, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate in-home care.

You will assist with personal hygiene, daily living activities, and accompany clients to appointments, while documenting care and ensuring a safe home environment across diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
